The world’s first smart artificial organ hopes to treat failing immune systems

Meet the festival speaker Liliana Berezkinová, the head of Nanopharma, led the development of an artificial thymus using nanofibers in cooperation with a number of global institutions. The thymus helps develop a child’s immune system and then halts its activity in puberty.
