Scott currently acts as managing partner at Amyx Ventures and CEO of Amyx+, a company specializing in the strategy and development of wearable technologies. He is also an active managing partner at Future of Fashion and acts as a mentor and startup board member at Singularity University Smart City Accelerator. Scott has over 20 years of large-scale strategy and implementation experience, managing projects worth tens of millions of dollars across multiple areas. Scott has also launched numerous startups as well as successfully selling a company.

  • Nell Watson

    Nell Watson FBCS, FIAP, FRSA is an engineer, entrepreneur, and futurist thinker who grew up in Northern Ireland. She has a longstanding interest in the philosophy of technology, and how extensions of human capacity drive emerging social trends.
    Nell founded Poikos (now QuantaCorp), a machine learning-driven ‘AI for body measurement’. Nell’s patented technology ‘dematerialises’ the 3D body scanner, by providing accurate 3D scans of the body with only 2D camera hardware, for mass customisation, and health. She is also Co-Founder of OpenEth.org, an ‘ethical explication engine’ that aims to crowdsource ethical heuristics for autonomous systems.
    She lectures globally on Machine Intelligence, AI philosophy, Human-Machine relations, and the Future of Human Society, serving on the Faculty of AI & Robotics at Singularity University.

  • Kenny Hawk

    Kenny is an experienced entrepreneur and the former CEO of tech companies such as iGo (IPO on Nasdaq), NemeriX (which was acquired by Qualcomm in 2009), and Ubidyne (Acquired by Kathrein). His business activities and interests range from internet-based social networking and multimedia entertainment, to SaaS, consumer electronics, and mobile networks. He now leads Mojio, which connects cars to the internet through cellular and GPS devices, adding it to the Internet of Things.
    Kenny holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Stanford University where he enjoys guest lecturing at the engineering school's entrepreneur program. He is passionate about next generation technology, early stage ventures, and fast-growth companies needing active board level leadership.

  • Thomas Hartung

    Professor, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

    Professor Hartung is an expert in clinical and experimental pharmacology and toxicology with more than 500 publications. Thomas strives for a paradigm shift in toxicity testing with the goal of improving public health. As a former head of the European Center for the Validation of Alternative Methods at the European Commission’s Joint Research Center, he was dedicated to topics such as toxicity testing, evidence-based toxicology, and the development of new approaches based on annotated pathways of toxicity.
    After relocating to the United States, he became director for the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing and a laboratory for developmental neurotoxicity research.

  • Rodolfo Miranda Soriano

    Director, IMDEA Nanociencia; Professor of Condensed Matter Physics

    Prof. Rodolfo Miranda has been the director of the Madrid Institute for Advances Studies in Nanoscience (IMDEA Nanociencia) since 2006 and a full professor of condensed matter physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). He has also worked with various universities in Spain and Germany during his career as a scientist.
    In 2007, Prof. Miranda was elected a fellow of the American Physical Society. His present research interests are in nanoscale science, quantum materials, and magnetism of nanostructures and their application in nanomedicine.

  • Jurgen Laudus

    After graduating with a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2001, Jurgen began his career in Additive Manufacturing (AM) at Materialise. Over the years, he has held several production and sales management positions within the company, playing an active role in the creation of one of the largest and most complete 3D printing production facilities in the world. In his current role as Materialise director, Jurgen is passionate about sharing his 3D printing expertise and his views on how 3D printing will transform many industries.

  • Alexandre Cadain

    Alexandre is starting ANIMA, an AI lab that tackles global challenges by designing new human-machine collaboration processes. Alexandre co-leads the postdigital seminar at Ecole Normale Supérieure (Ulm) Paris, which explores AI possible futures and their socioeconomic impacts. This year, the program focuses on Artificial Imagination. He also joined the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE as the European Ambassador to gather and mentor exceptional teams that are committed to positively impacting a billion lives by 2020 using AI. At the United Nations, he is the rapporteur for the Future of Work workgroup at the AI FOR GOOD commission. Alexandre is passionate about taking human life to other planets and contributes to a design mission to Mars, focusing on the red planet’s first cities.

  • Libor Witassek

    Cyberneticist, politician, entrepreneur, and Chairman of the Board Of Directors at VITKOVICE a.s.

    Libor Witassek specializes in second-order cybernetics, focusing on managing an enterprise as a living organism. He advised the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania about programs on doing business in Central Europe. He also served as managing partners chairman at Allied Consultants Europe e.V. Libor is an expert at building corporate management systems, using the Lean Six Sigma method to help firms like Siemens, Foxconn, Johnson & Controls, and GCE. He has written several works on Lean Leadership, which is a topic of his lectures at the University of Economics, Prague.

  • Pavel Kysilka

    Pavel Kysilka is a giant of Czech business, standing at the very foundations of the domestic banking sector. He served as a board member and Vice Governor of the Czech National Bank where he helped birth the Czech koruna after the breakup of Czechoslovakia. Pavel led Česká spořitelna for 5 years and was one of the members of Board of Directors for 17 years. He also served on the Government’s economic council, and worked as an International Monetary Fund expert.
    He founded the 6D Academy that associates domestic monetary policy and macroeconomic experts with those from IT, banking, digital marketing, education, auditing, and consulting. The 6D Academy motivates firms to undertake transformations that will allow them to maintain their competitiveness in the face of the digital revolution. Pavel Kysilka is also president of the world-renowned Smetana’s Litomyšl music festival.

  • Michal Pěchouček

    R&D at Cisco, Professor of Computer Sciences at the Czech Technical University

    Michal co-founded Cognitive Security, which Cisco acquired and folded into its R&D department along with its founders in 2013. He is also a professor at the Czech Technical University (ČVUT) where he initiated the creation of a cyber security department. Michal is an expert at using artificial intelligence in secure computer systems. By effectively merging the academic world with a leading multinational corporation, he is helping to train the next generation of cyber security experts. He’s also led scientific projects financed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). In 2105, Michal was listed on the New Europe 100’s exceptional innovators.

  • Otto Fabri

    Otto is an experienced design engineer with a strong working history in the automotive industry. Among other, he has worked in leading design engineering positions at Tesla on Model S & X and later at Faraday Future on the FF91. He has an extensive experience in autonomous mobility, EV design, and development, and the transition to renewable energy technologies. Otto is also a consulting professional with a Master's Degree in Engineering focused on Mechanical Engineering and production process management.

  • Juraj Vaculík

    Juraj has over 20 years leadership experience ranging from political revolution to international media and the advertising industry. During the Velvet Revolution in 1989, he was one of the key figures of the student movement that led the process of democratization in Slovakia. In the early 90’s, Juraj launched his career as a creative director in the nascent advertising industry. In 1996, he founded his own independent agency MADE BY VACULIK.
    Juraj is also a co-founder and CEO of AeroMobil, an engineering company that combines a luxury sports car and light plane into a single vehicle. In 2014, AeroMobil became a global sensation with its AeroMobil 3.0 experimental prototype. Juraj directed its development, leading a a team of 12 people and he presented the flying car at the Pioneers Festival in Vienna. In addition, Juraj acts as an angel investor for various IT, media, and alternative mobility startups.

  • Jiří Kůs

    Jiří Kůs’s path has led him to become a proud evangelist for new materials and industrial revolution. Inspired by Jeremy Rifkin, he began his studies into industrial energy, which he followed with degrees in psychology and sociology.
    Jiří claims that nanotechnologies are the alchemy of the 21st century. He co-founded nanoSPACE, which which produces anti-allergy bedding with nanofibres. He also chairs the Czech Nanotechnology Industries Association. Jiří claims the Czech Republic is a nano superpower under the initiative Czech is Nano.

    Ján is a passionate activator of teams working on exceptional problems, helping shape their strategy so they succeed internationally. He also worked as a strategic consultant for large industrial companies before founding a consultancy concentrating on increasing effectiveness in the financial sector. At IBM, Ján seeks out and fosters innovative projects in healthcare - in vitro fertilization. He focuses on qualitative embryo evaluation using AI. He also recently took over the post of regional leader for banking where he will work to implement artificial intelligence.

  • Martin Hausenblas

    Martin is dedicated to innovative projects with broad societal implications. That’s why he entered politics and founded the Podnikáme bez korupce anti-corruption group and a fund to finance internships for students abroad. His long-term focus on the sharing economy, autonomous mobility, and exponential technologies led to launching the Liftago application. Martin believes in a philosophy of sustainable business, which can be seen in his work in the Ústí region where he’d like to create conditions that would attract a global autonomous mobility player. He supports car and bike sharing projects and is also involved in startup New Mobility Project that optimizes city transportation.

  • Radek Janků

    Radek began his career as commercial manager at Skanska before becoming R&D director at REAL ECO TECHNIK. He worked on IP protection, technology transfers, and supporting start-ups while working at the SVTPark incubator.
    Radek Janků is a major supporter of electric vehicles. In 2015, he founded BattSwap, which aims to revolutionize EVs with a method of exchanging battery systems in only 30 seconds. This concept is now being developed at Menlo Park in Germany.

  • Jan Mittner

    CEO Rotorama; A top drone racer

    Jan Mittner is the founder or co-founder of several successful business, including career showroom Proudly.cz or Jizdomat.cz, which was acquired by BlaBlaCar, one of the world leaders in the ride-sharing industry. He enjoys flying, either in sport aircraft, gliding, and especially RC models, leading to his massive interest in first-person view (FPV) quadcopter flying and drone racing. Jan won the most prestigious FPV drone race last year and counts as one of the best racers in the world. He also founded Rotorama - a company that provides high-level drone racing equipment and services throughout the EU.

  • Marek Gutt-Mostowy

    CEO and Founder, euroLoop

    Marek studied industrial engineering and earned his degree in mechatronics, robotics, and automation engineering. He then honed and expanded his expertise at CERN as a student and fellow.
    Prior to founding euroLoop, a company working to build a full-scale cargo hyperloop, he led a team that designed control systems for the SpaceX Hyperloop competition. Marek also shares his knowledge with students at the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Cracow University of Technology.
